2005年度爵士樂最佳唱片
新碟聽得不夠多，不過還是推薦吧！
說來慚愧，雖然小妹今年也敗了不少，卻很少買新碟，仔細想了一想，今年（在台）發行的西低，這些我覺得不錯：
這雖然是2004年發行的片子，不過台灣今年初才代理進來，曲子優美動聽，希望Brandford有機會來台表演。台灣代理的是美版，可放心購入。
2) Michel Camilo-Solo (Telarc)
每年幾乎都會出片的南美爵士鋼琴家Michel Camilo，以其火熱的彈奏風格及驚人的彈奏速度見長。這張Solo一改先前的風格，但Michel Camilo對於音樂的articulation很透徹，所有的作品聽起來仍然抒情，深刻，動人。非常推薦。
3) Jane Monheit-Take a chance on love (Sony)
雖然我對封面頗有微詞，
不過這張專輯的整體品質，
無論是錄音，編曲，以及歌唱，
真是好得沒話說。
據說駱克曾經引進二十張美版，
全數銷售一空，
足見珍姐魅力之一斑。其實我還蠻希望珍姐可以來台演出，
這樣也許我喜歡的薩克斯風手Joel Frahm
就可以與台灣樂迷見面囉！
4) Jason Moran-Same mother (Blue Note)
雖然有點艱澀，但我仍覺得是一張言之有物的好專輯。Same mother再一次證明了Jason Moran是一位認真思考型的爵士鋼琴手，希望他再接再厲，繼續帶給聽眾更多新鮮的創意。入門聽眾不宜，切記。

5) Booker Ervin-Texbook Tenor (Blue Note)

十一月台灣發行了最新一期的鑑賞家系列。在這系列中，有一張專輯是Kenny Barron跨刀，由薩克斯風手Booker Ervin領銜的「Texbook Tenor」（之前yellow_submarine樂友已經介紹過）。Kenny是經由他的哥哥Bill Barron（曾與Booker Ervin在Savoy專輯Hot Line合作過）介紹而認識Booker Ervin的。兩人也因此在藍調之音錄製了至少兩張專輯（Booker and Brass，還有Texbook tenor）。這張專輯錄完不到兩年，Booker Ervin因腎臟病病逝。
或許樂友們對於Booker Ervin在Prestige（製作人是Don Schlitten，後來又創辦了Muse records）的專輯更有印象，這是因為他與一組非常棒的節奏組合合作（Jaki Byard, Richard Davis, Alan Dawson）。然而Texbook Tenor專輯中，清晰可聽見Kenny Barron, Woody Shaw與Booker Ervin彼此激發創意，展現了非常流暢而好聽的modal playing，這是今年的必買盤!!
6) Thelonious Monk with John Coltrane at Carnegie Hall (Blue Note)
即使是將近五十年前的音樂會，現場錄音的效果強過Live at the Five Spot Discovery!太多，而就音樂性而言，則輕易超越了已被列為經典，錄製於五七年四月的Thelonious Monk with John Coltrane。每一首曲子聽來都極具魅力且深具啟發性，四重奏整體的凝聚力也很強，彷彿這組人馬已經合作多年，默契無間。重視音響效果者，請務必放第五軌的「Epistrophy」來聽聽看。在風格鮮明的薩克斯風旋律中，鼓手Shadow Wilson敲著鈸，在演出空間中迴盪著鈸的清脆透明質感，配上Monk獨樹一幟的（通常是下行的快速）音群，不算緊密，但卻很適切地述說了他想表達的音樂概念。那一刻，絕對不是你我會輕易遺忘的（完整review另貼於相關討論群）。
7) Tubby Hayes-Mexican Green (Fontana, UK)
雖然幾年前已經在日本重發，但對西方樂迷以及對價格有點介意的台灣朋友而言，此次重發似乎才算是真正「以沒有那麼貴的價格」重發吧！而值得慶幸的是，正因為英國人終於良心發現，這張專輯也不會那麼的物以稀為貴。這絕對是英國現代爵士樂代表傑作之一，而Tubby Hayes以他優異的作曲能力，以及極具爆發力的即興演奏證明了這一點！
8) 令人感動的R & B reissue，不朽的Supreme日本現場:
這張專輯，再一次驗證了我的想法：所有優質的流行樂團體，最令人懷念的時刻，仍是當他們還同在一起。一旦各自發展後，那種集體匯聚的魅力就不再出現了，就像speed一樣，真懷念她們在紅白對抗賽上唱「my graduation」啊（恩恩我已經離題了）！

小威姐姐/Jane Monheit珍梦海一向是我的最爱,可以放松地来听她那有点异声的爵士,带着珍珠的雪走越爵士的声音.
北京料峭的春寒,还是爵士唱片里依旧恍惚的暗夜,已经把我们换成了另一个我,另一个挂在夜空的更漆黑的耳朵,收集如诗人所说"和几千年在一起的黑暗".
最近收集了leo的那套苏维埃爵士圣经,16张的套装;犹如用火来阅读雪,或者用雪来点燃火/
台湾东欧的爵士好买吗?那是爵士的另一世界;
只有在重听monk后,你才会知道他是多么的老,也更多么的好,好到沧桑,所以他的唱片或许买多少都不嫌多.
期盼威姐的新书早日出版.
